Our Mission

Second Horizon Foundation was created with a singular purpose: to provide hope and healing to cancer patients when traditional options have been exhausted.

We believe that every patient deserves access to innovative treatments, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through our foundation, qualifying patients receive Tumor Osmotic Lysis (TOL) therapy at absolutely no cost.

Our name reflects our core belief — that when one horizon seems to close, there is always another waiting to be discovered. We help patients find that second horizon.

What is TOL Therapy?

Tumor Osmotic Lysis (TOL)

TOL therapy represents a breakthrough in cancer treatment. It's a non-invasive approach that uses electromagnetic fields combined with digoxin premedication to induce osmotic lysis of cancer cells.

In simple terms, the treatment causes tumor cells to absorb excess sodium, which leads to osmotic pressure that causes the cancer cells to burst — while leaving healthy tissue completely unharmed.

The treatment is administered in an MRI-like setting, requiring no surgery, no chemotherapy, and causing no significant side effects. Patients can often resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

TOL therapy is developed by Oleander Medical Technologies. Visit their site to learn more about the science behind the treatment.

Why We Exist

For patients who have exhausted traditional cancer treatments, options can feel limited. Many face impossible choices between quality of life and aggressive therapies with diminishing returns.

The Gap We Fill

Innovative treatments like TOL therapy exist, but access can be limited by cost, availability, and awareness. We bridge this gap by providing free access to qualifying patients.

Our Commitment

We are committed to treating every patient with dignity, compassion, and respect. Our board of physicians personally oversees patient care to ensure the highest standards.
